Bud Ruland

Greetings! I am Bud Ruland, State Farm Agent serving Maryland, DC, and Virginia for over 29 years. Maryland has been my home for almost my entire life. I attended St. Mary’s of Annapolis, and graduated from Loyola College… (ahem University, as of 2015) in Baltimore with a degree in Economics. More than 30 years ago my wife Jean and I moved to Montgomery County to raise our 4 children.

Over the last 29 years I’ve not only gotten to know the ins and outs of the insurance industry as a State Farm Agent and member of the State Farm Speaker's Bureau, I’ve also gotten to know the ins and outs of the DMV community, enabling me to help my customers choose the insurance policies and programs that make the most sense for their individual needs.

Additionally, as a father of four adult children who are now out on their own - purchasing cars, renting apartments, and even buying houses - I understand just how overwhelming this “adulting” business can be, including choosing insurance. I especially enjoy helping those who are just starting out- from college students and recent grads renting apartments (renters insurance), to first time home buyers (homeowners insurance), the recently engaged (jewelry coverage), newly married (have you bundled yet?), and new parents (let’s talk life insurance!)
